Traditional copper wire manufacturing methods (such as TPC or OFC) draw molten metal through cooled dies, causing rapid crystallization that creates thousands of micro-grain crystal boundaries per meter. These boundaries introduce capacitive hysteresis, phase degradation, and resistance discontinuities.
Neotech UP-OCC wire utilizes the revolutionary Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC) process developed by Professor Atsumi Ohno of the Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan. By heating the mold to maintain crystallization temperature throughout extrusion, the copper solidifies as an unbroken single continuous crystal structure over hundreds of meters.
